All sewn up:

My assistant Jodie is sewing mama, she has some amazing bags as you can see from the “first modeling gig post” where is this going well I’ll tell ya.
She has inspired me to sew again and it’s become a habit, it’s like crack only productive : )
I stopped sewing in middle school and have not touched it since, but over the years I would see cute little dresses and think “I could make that” well now I have.
I am so proud of myself not only did I make one dress I have made seven, thus the crack reference. Now I am thinking of making curtains and new pillows for little A’s bed. It’s getting out of hand…but check out my super cute dresses anyway.

Waite a little disclaimer I know these are super easy dresses to make but cut me some slack….:)

he,he I love this first shot.

kids make me laugh:

Super fun b-day party, I think kids birthday parties are as much fun for me as they are for the kids.
I love playing with my camera and capturing images of kids just having fun, I love it. Look at these faces sooo funny!
One of my favorites is the grandpa who was clutching the walls of the jumpy as if he wanted in so bad he couldn’t stand it.

Good things come to those who wait…

Finally the new site is up and running, whew!!!

It’s not completely done yet but at least it’s up now thank goodness!!
Talk about stressful, I have three wedding waiting to post, no email thanks to an error when I changed web hosts and all of two hours of sleep a night for the past week worrying about it all.
So this is a major project that I will be refining over the next few weeks but I hope to have it all up and running in the next few days.
Everyone that is waiting on the galleries to go up, give me a day or so and you should be ready to go :)

Let me know if you see any problems…I don’t think I can keep my eyes open anymore I think I will celebrate with a nap!

My first modeling gig…

Jodie my assistant has some awesome skills not only behind the camera but with a sewing machine too.
At her etsy store The Compulsive Quilter she has the most awesome bags. Today she asked me to come and model her bags for her site and I was more than happy to do it.

I think she just asked because I have the shoulder of a line backer…but boy can they work some bags. So my first modeling job went well and was lots of fun but I never knew my nose was so pointy!

Jodie has great bags, wine totes, coasters and place mats. Well no place mats yet but add it to your list Jodie, that's just another idea from Jessica for ya ;)

things i just LOVE!!

Romantic Rose Bouquets this dramatic glamelia bouquet are handmade from individual rose petals and crafted to look like one large bloom.
It's made from more than three dozen Esperance roses create the illusion of one large bloom. I love the unique look it's formal, eligant but not the typical bouquet.
This was featured in InStyle Weddings and is just amazing!

Mitzi+Matt

What can I say about Mitzi and Matt that doesn’t show in their images.
This is one of the best couples that I have ever worked with, they made me feel so at home that I feel like part of the family. It’s amazing how one couple can touch your heart so much, I could feel how much everyone loved both of them.
During the reception I was had a blast documenting the joy coming from everyone…it was amazing.
I even had a first at this reception and danced with a handsome fellow Mac…shhhh don’t tell my husband lol!!

Thanks Mac for the dance you still have the moves.

I want to say a big thank you to all of the friends and family and to Penny, Betsy and Molly in particular
but of course to Mitzi and Matt, it was such a pleasure working with you and your amazing friends and family!

I am so excited about finally posting some of Mitzi’s bridal shots from our shoot at Villa Christina so check back they will be up soon.

Last but not least thanks to Jodie for all your hard work you did an awesome job!!

Who is this Jessica Ashley???

Well it’s me silly! I have used Jessica West my entire career then when I got married I went to Jessica West-Wheeler and boy did that create confusion…seriously.

So out of my wisdom or most likely stupidity I have decided to go by Jessica Ashley this will cut down on the phone calls from all my frustrated brides who say “can I speak to Jessica …um Jessica West, wait I mean Jessica West-Wheeler or is it Jessica Wheeler.

So let me introduce myself my names is Jessica Ashley and here are five things about me that I bet you didn’t know.

1. I love, love, love Mexican food and could eat it everyday…I’m not kidding.
2. I worked at a radio station out of collage as a broadcaster for the Atlanta Braves baseball team.
3. I HATE baseball! Hockey and soccer are my sports of choice if I must choose.
4. I am left handed and slightly ambidextrous. If I practiced I think I could write with my right hand daily.
5. I created one of the most popular jewelry lines for…well I can’t say their name but for one of the larges and most well know wholesale jewelers around. Yup I use to be in jewelry design…what a hard job ;)

Complete with a dorky photo of me...

New, new, new….

With the New Year comes great new experiences
and I am so excited to see what this year has in store. To start the new year off right I am excited to give you a little sneak peak at what I have been working so hard on... the new website!
It has been a long time coming but I have been working hard to reflect my style in every aspect of the new design. I want to show you how I see the world.

To celebrate I also have a new
logo and business card design.
Sweet…I love everything about the new design and it was all the hard work of the very talented Tiffin Mills so thanks Tiffin for your amazing work on our new logo and cards.
